Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

The owners of Next Level HR Solutions worked in the Human Resources industry for over 35 years where they saw inefficient processes, challenges in complying to state and federal laws, challenges in retention of quality A players and inequities based on race and gender.

Their Story

For years, we worked for companies where we witnessed firsthand allowed inequities in pay, promotions, and inconsistent processes that not only impacted people of color but the organization as a whole. We committed ourselves to helping employers, like you, become more inclusive, reduce high turnover, improve the employee experience that ultimately results in cost savings.

After working for companies and living out their visions that did not include us. We now have a vision of our own to create an African American women owned HR consulting firm. 

We are passionate about helping employers become more inclusive and equitable which will allow their businesses to increase revenue, have strong employee relationships, and be an employer of choice.

We are also committed to helping employees of all backgrounds reach their fullest potential in their professional careers. We help individuals market themselves effectively through their resumes, interview preparation and career workshops. Our strategic advantage is our ability to customize our services to meet the needs of our clients.

Meet The Team

Deidra M.B. Smith MHRM, PHR, SHRM-CP

Deidra Smith is a dynamic Human Resources Executive with over 20 years’ experience partnering with business leaders in private and not for profit sectors.  Deidra has worked with small to midsize organizations in creating Human Resources strategy and solutions to meet organizational goals.  Her areas of expertise are Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Employment Law and Training. The majority of her experience is in financial services, health & wellness, publishing and environmental sustainability.

 

Deidra is also passionate about education and helping individuals reach their full potential. She has helped the unemployed and underemployed market themselves to obtain careers that are financially fulfilling and intrinsically rewarding.  She teaches individuals in Japan, China and Brazil English in order for them to excel in their careers.

 

Deidra holds her SHRM-CP, PHR and DEI certifications. She holds her Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Keller Graduate School of Management.  She received her Bachelors of Arts and Science Degree from Illinois State University in Industrial Organizational Psychology. She is also a published author of children’s books.

Lynette A. Blasingame, JD

Lynette A. Blasingame, JD is an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Executive with over 15 years’ experience. She partners with business leaders as a strategic thinker to help leaders accomplish short and long-term goals. Her problem-solving ability helps employers ensure legal compliance, reduce risk, increase employee retention and engagement in the workplace. She has written Standard Operating Procedures and Employee Handbooks for organizations to ensure formality and compliance. Lynette has worked in the private and public sector and understands the importance of having effective Human Resources systems in place.

Lynette has Managed Teams to ensure program quality and impact. Her areas of expertise are Employee Relations, Performance Management, Risk Management, Investigations, Employment Law and Training. Although she is passionate about helping leaders improve their work environments, she is just as passionate about providing employees with tools to help them thrive and navigate their careers in the direction they desire.

Lynette holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Valparaiso University School of Law and a Bachelors’ Degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University. She holds a certification in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. As an Adjunct Professor she has taught Business Law and Criminal Justice classes at Indiana University and Indiana Wesleyan University. She is a published writer in the Steel Shavings Magazine, Volume 14.
